Dutchman Renzo Taal brings a wealth of international know-how of the B2B SaaS and CRM industry to Thinkproject. The top manager gained great experience at Salesforce in several roles, last as General Manager Asia in Singapore. He now joins Thinkproject from UIPath, a specialist for Robotic Process Automation where he drove the growth as Senior Vice President & Managing Director EMEA.

The new CEO sees it as his mission to continue Thinkproject’s growth course: “We will further drive Thinkproject’s successful international expansion strategy and accelerate our development,” says Renzo Taal. “Especially in Europe, we are already the clear market leader. In its 22-year history, Thinkproject has expanded through numerous acquisitions and today our portfolio has grown far beyond our original offering Common Data Environment (CDE). We are working hard on the end-to-end integration of our offering to deliver seamless experiences for our customers”. Thinkproject most recently acquired the French Kairnial Group with its system for mobile Building Information Modeling (BIM) in January 2022.

Renzo Taal graduated from Erasmus University Rotterdam with an MScBA in Finance & Information Management. His subsequent professional career also included ten years at Dell between 2002 and 2012, including Enterprise Director Asia Pacific & Japan and Services Sales Director China & Hong Kong. From 2012 to 2014, he spent two years at Philips in the Netherlands as Senior Vice President and General Manager EMEA. After six years at Salesforce – most recently as GM Asia – he joins from UIPath where he served as SVP and Managing Director EMEA.

We want to continue to digitise the triad of planning, building and operating with our integrated solutions and know-how in the future,” Renzo continues. “There is still a lot of untapped potential in the industry. Although the construction and infrastructure sector are the most important drivers of economic growth worldwide, the degree of digitization is still rather low. As the European market leader for construction management software, we are in the ideal position to accompany the industry on its digitalisation journey and support it on its way towards a more sustainable and efficient future.”
