Thinkproject awarded Industry Partner Award

In May, we announced an exciting new partnership with AccXel, an organisation dedicated to developing digital skills for future construction professionals. We are delighted to receive the Constructing Futures Industry Partner Award for 2023, a testament to the hard work and successful partnership between Thinkproject and AccXel.

Thinkproject will soon be developing and delivering bespoke modules for AccXel’s Skill Steps© program which provides knowledge on progressing through their careers into leadership and management positions.

AccXel Construction School is an industry-led training provider established in 2020. Gloucestershire-based AccXel is the UK’s first industry-led construction school, dedicated to bridging the skills gap in the industry.

Driving digitalisation in construction

Construction’s need to modernise

It is essential that those looking to further their construction careers are given modern knowledge to help them thrive in an increasingly digitised industry. As digitalisation becomes the norm on-site with the use of BIM, CDE, asset or contract management, importance should be placed on ensuring those working with them are able to confidently navigate these powerful tools.

Currently construction projects can face delays of more than 20 months or exceed initial budgets by up to 80%. With the right solutions and a knowledgeable workforce, project teams and their collaborators can all benefit and see these numbers reduced.

Partnering with AccXel

Thinkproject will be actively contributing to AccXel’s Skills Steps program by delivering tailored modules on digital technology. The development of these modules is a collaborative effort across our business and product teams, who are working hard to deliver the first module of Field Management using our Kairnial solution.

In our constantly changing industry, it is important that people are given the opportunities to learn or update their skillset. Together with AccXel we are empowering individuals to own and nurture their construction career journey.

“AccXel has been on an incredible journey so far, our programs are making a real difference in bridging those skills gaps in the industry. Being able to partner with Thinkproject will be a great experience for us and our learners. Getting those insights from a business who cross the gap between construction and technology is so valuable, which is why we are celebrating Thinkproject with our Industry Partner Award.”
Natalie King Operations Director, AccXel
“As someone who started their career through an apprenticeship, I know the importance of having a space to develop new skills. At Thinkproject my career journey has been a constant process of learning and growth, so I am proud to be part of this partnership that brings our goal of lifelong learning to others outside of our organisation.”
Marjona Halimova Product Owner, Thinkproject
“It has been fantastic to see our initial discussions with AccXel grow into this established partnership. Many of us at Thinkproject come from backgrounds in the industry and remain passionate about improving it. We are looking forward to continuing developing modules with AccXel in the future.”

Committed to building tomorrow, today

We are excited to be able to contribute to developing skills in our local community, with our UK office headquartered in Gloucestershire, we are always keen to feedback into the local area. But our goals don’t stop there! Our aspirations are global, and we hope that we can continue to offer our solutions as the basis of skill development in other locations, creating a positive impact on the wider construction industry.

Lifelong learning is more than just a buzzword, it is imperative that the construction industry is empowered to thrive, innovate and collaborate. A construction workforce with digital skills becomes better equipped to tackle even the most complex of projects and continue to accelerate evolution in the industry.
